I was able to watch the Alcaraz - Djokovic match at the U.S. Open in person. What you do not get from TV is the atmosphere and the ability to really see and feel the momentum and vibe of the match. The crowd, including me, were squarely behind the Joker. However, he looked old and tired…slow getting to balls. It was expected with the 15 year age difference. What I am getting at was Sinner at a tougher go with Felix.
Yes, definitely. After some really uninspired play in the 1st set, Felix played at a very high level, his ball striking was very impressive. Still, sustaining that level of tennis through the entirety of a match will almost never be enough to beat players like Sinner and Alcaraz.
